ORLANDO - Orlando Magic star, Dwight Howard threatened to miss the playoffs and sports event for the London Olympics because they have to undergo back surgery.
Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith said Howard should have surgery in Los Angeles on Friday. This operation is almost sure this 26-year-old player will not enter the U.S. Olympic squad.
"After consulting with two doctors, he chose to undergo surgery immediately," said Smith."Basically, the injury was not getting better."
After a pain-relieving therapy, Howard realized his injury is more severe than he had imagined.
Howard must be very detrimental loss of Magic. Without printing the most points, the Magic scored three wins and five defeats.
