Madrid Open 2012 - Azarenka and Serena to Semifinal

Two female tennis players Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams, made it to the semifinal Madrid Open 2012.

In a match that took place in Madrid, Friday (11/05/2012), Azarenka made it to the semifinals after eliminating the fierce battle over Li Na 3-6 6-3 6-3.


Azarenka had a resistance of Li Na in the first set. Finally, the world number one had to recognize the benefits of Na with a score of 3-6. But Azarenka won in the second and third.

Belarusian tennis player that did not provide the opportunity for Na to grow.After winning 4-1 in the third set, Azarenka closed the third quarter with a 6-3 victory.

In the semifinal round later, Azarenka will await the winner between Agnieszka Radwanska will face qualifier Varvara Lepchenko.

In other matches, Serena also managed to get a semi final ticket to Madrid Open 2012. American tennis player Maria Sharapova escaped after removing two straight sets 6-1 6-3.

In the last four at the Madrid Open later, Serena awaits the winner between Samantha Stosur opponents who will serve qualifier Lucie Hradecka in the quarterfinal.
