Country Singer Shania Twain Engaged to a Swiss Businessman

Shania Twain the country singer is engaged to wed Frederic Thiebaud Swiss Nestle executive, her representative confirmed to Us Weekly. Thiebaud popped the question about two months ago in Switzerland.

Shania Twain stepped out with Thiebaud at Serafina's Fabulous Grill in NYC on Thursday with an enormous engagement ring.



She suffered a broken heart after her husband of 14 years, legendary producer Mutt Lange, left her for her best friend in 2008. But country singer Shania Twain, 45, is now said to be ‘happier than she’s ever been’ – after getting engaged to the man whose wife stole her husband. Frederic Thiebaud, 40, was married to Shania’s best friend and house manager Marie-Anne Thiebaud, who is now living with Lange. Marie-Anne was an employee of Shania’s and looked after her 46-room château in Switzerland. They soon became a close confidante and travel companionds as Shania knew virtually no one else in Switzerland. But when the country singer’s marriage imploded two years ago with rumours of an affair between her husband and Marie-Anne, Shania turned to Thiebaud for comfort . He was also suffering from the devastating split from his wife … By the summer of 2009, their friendship had turned into love.

Thiebaud, an executive with Nestle, the huge Swiss food conglomerate, reportedly shelled out $100,000 for a three-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring.

Twain flashed the ring last week when the couple was in New York City

Shania Twain and her ex-husband, who is still living with Marie-Anne, share custody of their son Eja, nine, and the Thiebaud’s daughter, also nine.
